By downloading or using SafiScan (the "App") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

What SafiScan is

SafiScan is an informational tool that estimates the halal status and healthiness of foods and helps you track meals. Results are generated from ingredient data and AI and are provided for general guidance only.

Not a ruling, not medical advice. SafiScan does not issue religious rulings (fatwa) and does not provide medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. Verdicts may be incomplete or wrong. Always confirm independently — with the manufacturer, a recognised halal-certifying body, or a qualified scholar or healthcare professional — before relying on a result, especially for allergies, medical conditions, or religious obligations.

No warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. We do not warrant that results are correct, complete, or uninterrupted.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SafiScan and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the App or its results. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Subscriptions

Premium is an auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple ID. It renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in iOS Settings. Apple's standard terms (Apple Media Services / the standard EULA) also apply to purchases.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the App, attempt to disrupt or overload our services, or submit false or offensive content to the community database. We may remove content or restrict access for misuse.

Intellectual property

The App, its design and content (excluding third-party data such as Open Food Facts) are owned by the operator and protected by law. Community submissions you make may be displayed to other users.

Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept them. The date above shows the latest version.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law applies to you.
