PetPal - Privacy Policy

PetPal ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the PetPal mobile application ("App") on iOS and watchOS.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: Email address, display name, and password when you create an account via email/password or Sign in with Apple.
- Pet Data: Pet names, species, breed, birthday, weight, medical records, care logs, reminders, and photos you add to the App.
- Household Data: Names and roles of household members you invite.
- Documents: PDFs and images you import to the Vet Vault. Stored locally on your device only.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: Anonymous crash logs via Firebase Crashlytics.
- Purchase Information: Subscription status via RevenueCat. Payment details handled by Apple only.
- Device Information: iOS version, device model, App version for diagnostics.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the App features.
- To sync pet care data across household members via Firebase Firestore.
- To send local push notifications for reminders.
- To manage subscriptions via RevenueCat.
- To respond to support requests.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
- Google Firebase - Auth and cloud data sync. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat - Subscription management. See RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
- Apple Sign In - Optional authentication governed by Apple Privacy Policy.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Cloud data stored in Google Firestore with TLS encryption in transit and at rest.
- Vet Vault documents stored locally on your device only, never uploaded.
- Industry-standard security practices applied throughout.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Data retained while your account is active. To delete: open PetPal Settings - Account - Delete Account, or email support@petpalapp.io with subject "Delete My Account". Cloud data permanently removed within 30 days.
6. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
PetPal is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Contact us immediately if you believe a child under 13 has registered.
7. Your Rights
You may have rights to: access your data, correct inaccurate data, delete your data, data portability, and opt-out of marketing. Contact support@petpalapp.io to exercise these rights.
8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
California residents may request to know what data we collect, request deletion, and opt-out of data sale. We do not sell personal information. Contact support@petpalapp.io.
